It was very easy for us to fall in love with Block Island…almost as easy as it was to fall in love with each other. We have shared a lot of great memories on the island, and I have been vacationing here since I was a little girl with my family. I introduced the island to Don shortly after we met, and it took his breath away.
Block Island has ALWAYS been where we have planned on getting married. The night that Don proposed to me in the Bahamas, we spent the night discussing where and when we should get married. We didn’t exactly know when, but we immediately knew where. There was no question about it.
When we began actually planning our wedding in 2010, we found the website for the Block Island Wedding Show and we were extremely excited. It was unbelievably convenient that all of the people that we would need to meet and talk with would all be in the same place presenting what they could offer us to make our day perfect.
After the show, we began really moving forward with the wedding plans. We met every single person we have used at the Block Island Wedding Show, and they are all very experienced and knowledgeable in the unique challenges and advantages of having your special day in this special place. If we had not attended the show, the process of planning our wedding would have taken much longer and been much more difficult.
